MacOS X and Samba Connectivity
5. März 2006 von Christian Imhorst
In “Mount-by-yourself” instead of “Finder-Freeze” I offer two scripts. They should give you a hand to mount and unmount your Samba share in the terminal of MacOS X. Anyway, there is another way to mount Samba shares without freezing Finder:
- Open Finder
- Press [Apple-Key] + K
- Type smb://192.168.10.1/sharename
resp. smb://servername/sharename
After that you will be prompted for your password and the share should be mounted normally.
Thanks to The Jackol’s Den for the tip. He has another hint just in case this does not work:
Try connecting with your username. Like:
smb://username@192.168.10.1/sharename
Geschrieben in English, MacOS X und iPhone
